Hello from home in Sydney!
Recap:
- Lesson 1 – be mindful about what you are eating even on a plane
- Lesson 2 – travelling can effect how ready your body is for training
- Lesson 3 – be careful of sneaky sugar is sauces and drinks
- Lesson 4 – take snacks with you when you go out
- Lesson 5 – if you are offered local (weird) food… try it… just because
- Lesson 6 – just say yes… you never know what might happen!
- Lesson 7 – I’m not trying to be perfect and that is just fine for me…
- Lesson 8 – to pizza hut pizza just say no… just no!
- Lesson 9 – sometimes days just don’t go your way but it’s ok, roll with it
- Lesson 10 – I need to just say no to dairy when my body is already under other stressors
- Lesson 11 – when you have a massive breakfast you may not feel like eating much for the rest of the day. That’s totally fine just go with the flow!
- Lesson 12 – when your stomach is really unsettled, the smell of gunpowder will make it worse!
- Lesson 13 – the obstacle is the way… my reasoning was I’m terrified of spiders so I ate one Lesson 14 – when I have a planned crazy day I really do go crazy… I’m just glad that sort of thing only happens once a year.
- Lesson 15 – walking around for 3 hours in a shopping centre in heals no matter how small they are will give you sore feet!
- Lesson 16 – on sugar hangover days I want green food…
Our last day in Singapore was great, we went to the top of the Marina Bay Sands, the fairly new Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. We then went to a movie and got to the airport in time for a quick bite before our flight at 1:45am. The flight home was terrible! We were already exhausted from walking around all day in Singapore but then we get on the plane, which was Scoot… because we thought it would be fun to try a new airline (to us). The seats were very uncomfortable and the food was not really food so I just didn’t bother with it.
So I’m sitting at my house finally after a really exhausting 24 hours and I think I’m just really tired. Though this has totally affected my whole body, I’m achy, I can’t think and all I want is sugar! I think when I had other days like this I would just go with it and eat whatever I had to, to get through the day. Today we had a good lunch waiting for us when we got home because my friend is awesome. THEN! For some reason I started mindlessly nibbling on random bits of confectionary everyone was eating till my friends said “what are you doing?!?” So I have snapped out of it and I am drinking herbal tea.
Ahhhhh! Back to normal life… I just need a couple of nights of really good sleep.
Travelling done! Back to my routine even if it is just for a little while… in February we are going to Hawaii, Japan & South Korea. I need to sort out a killer hotel room workout and I NEED to figure out how to do intermittent fasting so I never have to eat plane food ever again!
- Lesson 17 – no sleep, exhaustion and crappy non-food = body seeking energy/sugar
- Lesson 18 – I need to learn how to do intermittent fasting so that I can avoid eating for an 8 hour flight. At the moment I get hungry then I feel sick.
- Lesson 19 – when mindlessly eating sugar… STOP and drink iced tea!
- Lesson 20 – sometimes you just need a good nights sleep
